One never knows where life will take you. All we know is that it will be a journey. This journey is a story of love and beautiful Lake Talon. For years this served as their summer getaway. Early one morning, while sipping coffee, watching the mist rising over the warm Lake Talon waters and listening to the haunting call of a local loon family, she turned to him and vocalized what had been going through their minds for years. Let's move here and build our dream home. So began a labour of love. Mother Nature is so important to a true Northerner, so the lay of the land, the form of the bedrock, the trees to be removed but more critically the trees that need to stay and how that all played with the home design and the view were taken into account. Every feature of the home was thoroughly thought out down to the fine details of what was going to go in of what drawer, counter heights, door widths, room sizes, orientation for the best light, radiant heat over forced air and design for the inevitability of aging.
